How does it work?
IPL is an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light and while traditional lasers operate on a single wavelength, the Icon Max G IPL Photofacial is much more advanced. This state of the art medical grade laser combines Dynamic Spectrum Shifting & dual-band filters for extreme precision, providing a more consistent treatment. This makes the Max G IPL Photofacial much more efficient and allows it to reach the skin’s deepest facial vessels. After your treatment, the body naturally disposes of the damaged skin cells, heals broken capillaries & stimulates the production of collagen, revealing a smoother and healthier complexion.
When will I see the results?
You will see amazing results after just one session within 14 days.
How many treatments will I need?
IPL Photofacials produce the most effective results when performed as a series of treatments. We recommend 3-4 treatments 2-4 weeks apart to maximize your results. If you’re in Las Vegas and are interested in an IPL Photofacial treatment, schedule a free consultation today.
What to expect during your treatment
After your consultation we will provide you with a topical numbing cream. When you arrive for your IPL Photofacial treatment, please arrive with a cleansed face and be sure to apply the topical numbing cream 1 hour before your appointment. During the laser treatment, multiple applications of the laser are applied directly to your skin and in some cases a second pass is performed.
IPL Photofacial treatments take between 20-30 minutes to perform depending on the size of the treatment area.
Do IPL Photofacials hurt?
You will feel mild discomfort during your treatment. Which is why we provide you with a topical numbing cream. The laser has a built in cooling mechanism in the hand-piece itself and Ice Packs can be provided during the treatment upon request and to further reduce any discomfort, we apply ice rollers to the skin during the treatment. Previous patients have said that there is a mild tingling sensation that feels similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Most patients can tolerate the entire procedure quite easily but if you have a low pain threshold we can do more for you.
When can I resume normal activity?
There is no downtime associated with an ipl photofacial treatment, but following your treatment your skin may be a little inflamed and red. This will decrease on its own as the day continues and can be concealed with makeup. Most patients return to work or resume regular activities on the same day as their treatment or the next. During the post-treatment period it is important to keep your skin protected from the sun.
